The core purpose of this role is to support the implementation, maintenance, and administration of approved global information systems across AKS. Specifically, the role will entail providing techno-functional support in all matters concerning enterprise information systems within AKS operations in all countries as required from time to time.
This is a technical position with administrative reporting to the Head of IT, AKES, Pakistan, and functional reporting to the respective team lead designated by the Head of IT, AKES, Pakistan in consultation with the head office. The employee shall be based in the city of Karachi in Pakistan and shall perform duties and responsibilities defined below, and such other duties and obligations as may be identified to the employee by AKES, Pakistan, from time to time.
Information Systems:
• Actively participate in the information system implementation activities, including business analysis, system design, system configuration, development, testing, data migration, user training, and deployment across AKS units.
• Provide post-implementation user support and lead system administration, configuration management, and ongoing system maintenance.
• Provide moderate to complex technical and functional support as needed to facilitate use of global information systems.
• Maintain common system design across AKS, including system configurations, application and data security framework, user access management, software licencing and other system aspects that require global management.
• Liaise with various stakeholders to elicit emerging business requirements, document business processes, and facilitate improvements for efficiencies in system operations and user practises.
• Front the information system users in understanding and managing day-to-day operational issues. Identify and develop SOPs for all recurring or routine functions.
• Explore, research, and debug to fix errors found in information system functionalities and features from time to time.
• Liaise with respective AKS units/ departments and information system support vendor for resolution of queries/ system issues reported by system users.
• Conduct unit testing of changes/ fixes/ enhancements/ updates released by product/ support vendor and facilitate business users in their user acceptance testing on an ongoing basis.
• Develop and maintain user manuals and training material for information systems.
• Manage system interfaces and associates error logs and document any identified trends.
• Ensure that IT business continuity and risk mitigation measures are in place to effectively protect the organisational data and information systems under his/her responsibility.
Software Solutions and Innovations:
• Utilise technology and software-based innovative solutions to automate business processes and workflows.
Data Analytics and Reporting:
• Design, develop, maintain, and support the use of operational reports for global information systems.
• Facilitate data retrieval from information systems/ databases for operational reporting, as per business requirements.
• Implement, maintain, and support operations of data warehouse and analytical tool for dashboard reporting.
The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant field, with certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O would have added advantage. Must have experience in developing within the Microsoft .NET environment. Additionally, they should have hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, the X++ programming language, and Microsoft Power BI.
The candidate should possess extensive functional and technical knowledge of large-scale enterprise information systems and be able to independently develop reports for such systems. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, along with problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines. The candidate should also be willing to work remotely for different entities and travel for work when required.
