Job Description: |
The Qualitative Research Officer will work closely with the team lead in implementing the qualitative research component of the ongoing trial of evaluation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) based program for active case finding (ACF) of Tuberculosis (TB) with other partner across Pakistan. Specifically, the qualitative researcher will contribute to the qualitative evaluation of the trial in selected districts.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The main role of the qualitative research officer is:
- ‘’explore the challenges and barriers in existing practices for camp planning, with a focus on site-selection of active case finding for TB camps using artificial intelligence technique in Pakistan’
The specific duties include (but not limited to):
- Gather the perspectives and experiences of healthcare workers while using AI to identify the locations of ACF camps
- to compare the AI camp site selection approach with the contemporary method of camp site selection (using routine TB notification-based targeting guided by local knowledge) and discuss the barriers and facilitators of both approaches with the implementors.
- investigate how the revised approach has improved staff efficiency in terms of ACF planning, workloads, processes and data management.
- Implement qualitative research methodologies and techniques, including data collection, recording and analysis of learnings and stories
- Interpreting and documenting key findings into high quality evidence across formats including written reports, publications, and presentations
EXPERIENCE AND QULAIFICATION
- Master’s or BS in related discipline with an emphasis on applied social science or research methods
- Experience in the implementation and analysis of applied social research (qualitative methods) across different settings
- Excellent interpersonal skills for working with the team and presenting findings to management and stakeholders.
- Computer proficiency is essential for using statistical software to collect and interpret the data
