Job Description:

Key Accountabilities:


• Programme and Project Design:



  • Design and review Food Security and Livelihood (FSL) strategic and fundraising frameworks in relation to climate smart solutions , financial inclusion, startups, social enterprise and private sector engagement. 

  • Extensively coordinate and represent the organization amongst partners, donors, academia, think tanks and forums. 

  • Conduct policy advice, context, and economic analysis

  • Support donor mapping and relationship building


• Value Chain:



  • Analyze and strengthen value chains for targeted commodities and products

  • Identify and address bottlenecks in value chains to improve market access and profitability for beneficiaries/right-holders

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, venture capitalists, incubators, accelerators, and other key stakeholders.

  • Drives innovation by supporting and scaling startups through strategic guidance, capacity building, and ecosystem development.

  • Develops and implements innovative strategies to promote and integrate climate-resilient practices and technologies.

  • Digital transformation and supports freelancers by enhancing digital tools and optimizing remote work strategies.

  • Designs and implements sustainable strategies to enhance climate resilience and reduce environmental impact and align projects activities.

  • Design and manages initiatives to enhance financial accessibility and drive corporate social responsibility in the private sector.

  • Design and implements strategies to integrate circular economy principles within small and medium-sized enterprises to promote sustainability and resource efficiency


• Technical Backstopping and Capacity Building:



  • Provide technical input and feedback to area teams

  • Facilitate capacity building of livelihood staff

  • Support project inception workshops and activity strategy design


• Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning:



  • Regularly monitor field areas and suggest recommendations for improvement

  • Lead knowledge sharing and documentation of lessons learned


• Partnerships and Representation:



  • Explore long-term partnerships with CSOs and maintain relationships with donors and government stakeholders

  • Represent IR at various forums for FSL discussions


Roles and Responsibilities regarding IR Safeguarding Policy 



  • Ensure reporting staff are aware of their role and responsibility under the safeguarding policy 

  • Ensure safe recruitment process in line with HR processes 

  • Ensure all representatives receive safeguarding orientation and training as a mandatory part of inductions 

  • Ensure safeguarding policy is implemented globally within country offices 

  • Support reporting staff to access and utilize safeguarding reporting procedures
