| Job Description: |
- Coordinate the various aspects of the process engineering, including FEED, Detail Design, planning, and development.
- Knowledge and preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications and process descriptions.
- Prepare process specification for instrumentation and control, including control narratives, for review and approval.
- Carry out simulations of processes using simulation packages such as ChemCad, Aspen, Pro II, and HYSYS. Review and check simulations.
- Prepare contract engineering design (CED’s) documents, as required, to communicate changes/design information.
- Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used meet the Client’s requirements.
- Participate in HAZOP and HSE studies.
- Prepare operating manuals and operating procedures.
- Provide process support to the other engineering disciplines.
- Assist in the development of processing plans, methods, design and materials handling.
- Provide guidance, support and act as a direct resource to the team undertaking the mine development feasibility studies.
- Provide specialist technical input into team project work.
- Act as the process lead on studies and projects.
- Develop or bring forward, as appropriate, industry best practices and new technologies.
- Prepare and review project proposals, studies, and technical reports.
- Oversee the cost-effective, safe and timely completion of projects that meet or exceed expectations.
- Liaise with contractors, vendors and other stakeholders on a technical level and present reports, publications and presentations in a professional manner.
- Apply a sound basic knowledge of safety, environmental and energy-related issues during the execution of projects; andTravel to sites as needed.
