| Job Description: |
Position Purpose:
Essentially a camera professional, who can make professional audio and video recordings of all Lifetime Learning @ LUMS (LLL) events, classes and ceremonies. Produce photographic and video content for social media platforms of LLL. Record clips for marketing, promotion and documentary purposes (interviews, testimonials etc.), for online and offline use.
Main Responsibilities:
- Photography and video recording of all LLL events and happenings
- Assemble and set-up equipment, including camera, tripods, monitors, lighting, cables and leads, headphones etc. Move cameras and other equipment around as needed
- Plan, prepare and rehearse scenes/shots. Creatively frame and capture the action
- Write compelling scripts for short films and testimonials
- Be able to edit photos & videos with professional software, including Adobe Platforms
- Take posed and candid shots, including promotional pictures
- Select and install screens and filters in camera to produce desired effects
- Direct participants in the shots.
- Find solutions to technical or other practical problems related to the work
- Stay updated with the latest filming methods and equipment
- Maintain a database of all photographs & videos of LLL
- Assist in evening class duties as required
- Other related tasks as assigned by the Supervisor and HoD
Note: Business hours often extend into the evenings and weekends depending on workload. Flexibility on work schedules and timings is required. Events, video and photo coverage can be required at any time and day. The job also involves working in the evenings when required to supervise and manage the classes. Travel may be required depending on need. Flexibility and commitment is a must.
Skills:
- Good practical and technical knowledge of cameras and related equipment
- Flexibility, creativity and patience
- A keen eye for details and precision
- Clear understanding of effects of color, lighting angles and perspective depth
- Strong planning skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Physically active and be able to work and concentrate for long periods of time
