Campus Director

Job Description:

The Campus Director is the pro-active leader who maintains administration and education standards to ensure success of a campus.

Personal Qualities:

An energetic, positive, pro-active person who likes to engage and mentor people. This confident person is highly competitive and enjoys mental challenges involving solving problems and working on large diverse projects. They are a self-starter driven to make the best ideas a reality and appreciate a venturesome work environment. The ideal candidate is able to work well independently and with others.

Skilled Knowledge & Experience:

This individual should have:

a)       Leadership experience and a background in an education setting.

b)       Proven management experience or relevant role for 2 or more years, preferably in the educational sector

c)       Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

d)       Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and tasks

e)       Strong organizational and time management skills

f)         Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development

g)       Solid verbal and written skills

h)       Mentoring and relationship building

i)         Strong analytical and problem solving skills

j)         Excellent knowledge on MS Office

 

Education:

A degree from a recognized college or university is required. A Bachelor of Education is an asset, but not necessary.

Accountabilities:

The Campus Director will report to the Academic Director of Pre School and:

a)       Provide the Finance department with monthly reports

b)       Providing HR with required documents

c)      Assisting teachers when dealing with student/parent concerns

d)     Supporting the Office Administrator (if applicable)

e)     Maintaining SoM business and educational standards

Authorities

The Campus Director has the following authorities:

a)       Hiring, assigning tasks, evaluating, mentoring and deselecting teachers, substitute teachers, administrative assistants and assistant teachers

b)       Interviewing, accepting and registering suitable students

c)       Ensure any training that is needed for campus staff has been organized and followed through

d)       Setting yearly campus class schedules

Responsibilities:

The Campus Director has the following responsibilities:

a)     Comply and maintain Spirit of Math (SoM) brand and teaching standards

b)     Comply to SoM policies and procedures

c)      Plan and conduct summer camps,

d)     Plan and conduct yearly campus events

e)     Create an encouraging and engaging learning environment

f)       Communicate with teachers, parents, and students on a continual basis

g)     Address any issues identified by parents and teachers in a professional and timely manner

h)     Network with the community surrounding the campus

i)       Maintain and provide all necessary campus and classroom resources and inventory for staff

j)       Attend all annual Training Conferences, Regional Workshops and any mandatory SoM events.

k)      Partake in Grade Specific Training/Meetings and Professional Developments sessions to increase knowledge in the SoM curriculum

l)         Monitor the health and safety of personnel at campus

m)     Maintain campus facilities to the brand standard compliance

n)       Conduct Assistant Teacher training and assisting with Teacher Training

o)     Opening and closing campuses

 

Academic Responsibilities

a)     Conduct professional developments for teachers and assistant teachers

b)     Provide support to teachers conducting PD sessions or presentations at conferences

c)      Conduct parent sessions and support teachers who conduct a parent session

d)     Mentor teachers, administrators and assistant teachers

e)     Substitute teach if necessary

f)       Monitor and report student performance

g)     Ensure personal professional development is continued year after year

 

Administrative Responsibilities

a)     Manage the campus budget

b)     Provide complete financial reporting on a campus level such as visa expense report, reimbursement report, and etc…

c)      Carry out and report weekly deposit 

d)     Liaise with the host school for contract agreement, renewal, and to address any issues that arise in regards to the location

e)     Purchase necessary schools/facility supplies and furniture in a timely manner

f)       Ensure all student files (registration and payment information) are kept up to date and in a secure location.

g)     Register new students per SoM procedure
