Supervise and control the complete development function of the company with factory, customers, and cross-functional teams with a sense of urgency to meet 100% inquiry to order conversion for all clients and an aim to provide the best product. Ensure 100% on-time performance by the team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a complete understanding of all Kay & Emms (Pvt) Ltd. - Innoknits clients and their businesses.


• Establish an effective communication process between the cross functional teams.


• Build an idea management process to gather and evaluate feedback from customers, team members, and stakeholders.


• Manage the product development process from design handoff to adoption.


• Manage multi-season development calendars and the execution of all tasks related to the Product Development cycle for all existing clients.


• Manage the approval processes, making sure all product development is routed through Company’s approval systems.


• Ensure 100% on 0-time turnaround of all PD projects.


• Approve all fabrics & yarns for appearance, quality, weight, and hand feel, using formal guidelines and technical knowledge before dispatching to the client.


• Approve prototype samples for style details and construction.


• Manage workflow from the initial sketch through the final placement of styles.


• Manage approval process of all strikes offs, pattern trims, and technically correct lab dips.


• Train and manage the product development team.


• Manage and control sample room planning & priorities as per client requirements and capacity limitations. 


• Understand the product quality requirements of Premium/high value brands.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or higher preferably in textile engineering/sciences.


• 4-6 years’ experience in the knitwear apparel industry preferably US brands. 


• Knowledge of fabrication, processing & garment making process.


• Proactive on problem solving and resolution oriented


• Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment


• Ability to multi-task, self-manage and work independently


• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills


• Self-initiator and ability to produce results with minimal supervision.
