Job Description:

Job Purpose: 

Position is responsible for the donation box management at different points, newsletter distribution, assisting in social media campaigns and departmental logistics, include managing inventory and ensuring timely provisions for the department.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Management of DMS

  • Enter donor details in DMS
  • Draft thank you letter (sometime customization is needed)
  • Issue Tax receipt

2. Event/Guest Handling (minimum 3 big events and 7 smaller events)

  • Take pictures of guests (FOH events, open houses, guest visits, Board meetings etc.)
  • Create text to post on WhatsApp groups & FB (in collaboration with Donor Relations Manager)
  • Record guest testimonials
  • Support in execution of planned activities/ events

3. Office Inventory Handling

  • Maintain office stationary & ensure
  • Maintain all marketing material to be used by RMD (Brochures, Newsletter, Flyers and Standees etc.). Liaise with the marketing team accordingly.

4. Query Handling

All queries received through official phone, email, whatsApp etc.

5. Mail Handling

  • Receive and dispatch of mail
  • Send mass emails on SENDY to all THF donors (content will be provided)
  • Maintain SENDY email lists (International chapters, existing donors, Aslam Sb list etc.)
  • Letters & labels printing during Zakat Campaign

6. Team Support

  • Assist team members with other doc editing as required
  • Data Collection from THF Institutes etc.
  • Student tagging in collaboration with Donor/Corporate Relations Manager)

7. File Management

  • Maintain record of all files (hard and soft copies) in filing system document. Files to be made/provided by Donor & Corporate Staff members 8. Board Room Bookings
  • Book slot as required by RMD team members 9. This resource will support Grants Department and the Donor/Corporate Relations Department

Responsibilities Related to Donation Boxes:

  • Cold calling for addition of DBs at new outlets
  • Market visits for the addition of DBs at new outlets
  • Maintain record of donation boxes and keep the file updated
  • Collection & Replacement of DBs from existing outlets
  • Regular follow-up calls to the existing outlets for replacement
  • Cash counting of the collected DBs and maintaining ledger.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Good command of English language
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Should be organized and efficient, with the ability to perform routine tasks independently.
  • Enthusiasm, organizational and people skills.
  • An interest in meeting people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
  • Own means of transport would be beneficial.

Registered in 2008 under the Societies Act 1860, Hunar Foundations took its first batch in January 2010 in premises supplied by Delhi Mercantile Society, Karachi in its DMS School facility. The students gave their City & Guilds exam at the end of the year and till 2019 14 batches had graduated with one year diplomas.

Since then Hunar has added its Rashidabad (near Tando Allah Yar), Lahore (Bedian Road), Multan (Pak Arab Fertilizer) and Kharian campuses as well as a women’s institute in Karachi that started in 2015 and is in the process of relocation to a new modern upgraded facility. By end of 2019 two more institutes are added in Korangi (Karachi), one for women and one for men. Korangi campus is targeted to host a state of the art Teacher’s Training and Excellence Center.
