Skills and Requirements:
• 5+ Years of Experience (2.5+ years in automation)
• Good understanding of software engineering principles.
• Experience in Test Automation - Mobile, Web, and APIs.
• Thorough understanding of the Testing process, Test cases, Testing strategy Plan and bug/defect reports etc
• Knowledge in testing REST APIs using REST-Assured, Postman, or similar tool
• Knowledge of Web automation using Cucumber, Selenium Java, Cypress
• Knowledge of Mobile UI test automation using Appium or similar would be a plus
• Bug tracking tools (JIRA, ASANA)
• Testing Types and Testing Techniques
• Good hands on knowledge on SQL query writing
• Good Understanding of Software Development and Testing Life Cycles
• Hands on knowledge of Linux Commands
• Strong Analytical skills
• Requirement elicitation (Should be plus)
• Hands on Experience in Non-functional testing like Security and Performance (Should be a plus)
Key Responsibilities:
• Take ownership of software quality, using industry best practices for both Automation (must)and Manual Testing
• Can serve as a mentor to less experienced QA Automation Engineers
• Embrace continuous delivery as a goal and help streamline our release process with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, AWS Pipeline etc
• Can write / maintain automated scripts for Application under test.
• Actively participate in scrum meetings, iteration planning, feature demos, as well as write and execute software test plans and procedures in order to identify software issues and causes
• Working on a product team, communicate testing estimates and status, while continually working toward the removal of project roadblocks
• Advocate for and practice agile test methodologies, such as behavioral driven development or test-driven development
• Provide your expertise and support to other members of the engineering teams, particularly in resolving discovered issues
• Collaborate with project team members or customers to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions
• Good hands on knowledge of Software Quality Assurance and Software Quality Control Concepts
• Effective interaction with stakeholders
